In short, the precise Paleo diet (also dubbed the stone-age or caveman diet) consumed by Palaeolithic man would be difficult to replicate today. There are some parts of the paleo diet which are recommended such as reducing highly-processed foods rich in sugar, saturated fats and salt. BUT the paleo diet also ignores the benefits of nutrients from many plant-based foods, whole grains and some dairy products.
